Q3. Which is heavier?
5 kg rice or 3 kg rice
Answer: 5 kg rice
5 is greater than 3.
So 5 kg is heavier than 3 kg.
Q4. Convert:
1 litre = ______ millilitres
Answer: 1000 millilitres
1 litre is equal to 1000 millilitres.
We write it as 1 L = 1000 mL.
ABILITY TO COMPUTE (10 MARKS)
Q5. Add the weight:
2 kg + 3 kg
Answer: 5 kg
Add the numbers.
2 + 3 = 5
So total weight = 5 kg.
Q6. A bottle has 750 mL juice. Another bottle has 250 mL juice. How much juice in total?
Answer: 1000 mL
Add 750 mL + 250 mL
= 1000 mL

Q7. A shopkeeper has 6 kg apples. He sells 2 kg. How many kg are left?
Answer: 4 kg
Total apples = 6 kg
Sold = 2 kg
6 − 2 = 4
So 4 kg apples are left.
Q8. Meena buys 2 litre milk in the morning and 3 litre milk in the evening. How much milk in total?
Answer: 5 litres
Morning milk = 2 L
Evening milk = 3 L
Add 2 + 3 = 5
Total milk = 5 litres.
