Anu and The Helpful Tree

Anu was walking home from school on a hot afternoon. The sun was very bright, and she felt tired. On the way, she saw an old woman sitting under a big tree. The old woman looked thirsty and weak. Anu had a small water bottle in her bag.

Anu thought for a moment. Then she gave her water to the old woman. The old woman smiled and said, “Thank you, my child. You are very kind.” Anu felt happy inside. She learned that helping others makes us happy.
