A calendar shows days, weeks, and months. Some months have 30 days, some have 31 days, and February has 28 or 29 days.

🧠 Activity 1: Observe July

  • Count Sundays in July
  • Write all Thursdays’ dates
  • 3 days after 22 July = 25 July
  • School closed on 7 July for 15 days → Opens on 22 July

✔ Solution

Children count using the calendar and mark days with colours.

🔹 2. Months and Year

📝 Questions

  1. Write names of 12 months
  2. Month with less than 30 days → February
  3. Days in a year → 365
  4. Weeks in a year → 52 weeks

✔ Explanation

Names of months never change, but dates of festivals may change.

🔹 3. Age Fun (Simple Age Problems)

Hetal is 10 years older than her brother and twice his age.

✔ Solution

Brother = 10 years
Hetal = 20 years

🎯 Activity

Ask children to find their age and parents’ age using birth year.

🔹 4. Reading a Birth Certificate

Date of Birth: 02/05/2015

  • Month = May
  • Age on 2 May 2025 = 10 years
  • Age in 2030 = 15 years
  • 8th Birthday = 2 May 2023

🕒 Analog Clock

Short hand = Hour hand
Long hand = Minute hand
