Activity 1: Waste Sorting Game
How children will do it:
- The teacher places two paper dustbins in the class – one green and one blue.
- Small paper slips with names of waste items are kept in a box.
- One student comes forward, picks one slip and reads it aloud.
- The student decides which dustbin the waste should go into.
- The class confirms by clapping or correcting.
Example:
Slip says: “Banana peel”
Student puts it in the Green dustbin.

Learning Outcome: Children understand wet and dry waste segregation.
Activity 2: My Daily Waste Talk
How children will do it:
- Children sit in a circle.
- Each child gets a turn to speak.
- The child names one thing they throw away every day.
- The teacher writes common answers on the blackboard.
Example student responses:
“I throw pencil shavings.”
“I throw chocolate wrappers.”
“I throw fruit peels.”

Learning Outcome: Children realise waste is created by daily activities.
Activity 3: Reduce or Reuse Cards
How children will do it:
- The teacher shows situation cards or reads them aloud.
- Students think and answer whether it is Reduce or Reuse.
- Children also explain how they can do it.
Example:
Situation: “Using cloth bag instead of plastic bag”
Student answer: Reduce
Situation: “Making toys from old newspapers”
Student answer: Reuse

Activity 4: Clean vs Dirty Place Role Play
How children will do it:
- Two students come to the front.
- One student acts as a clean place.
- The other acts as a dirty place.
- They speak one or two lines each.
Example dialogue:
Clean place: “I feel happy and healthy.”
Dirty place: “I smell bad and make people sick.”

Learning Outcome: Children connect cleanliness with health.
Activity 5: Thank You Cleanliness Drawing
How children will do it:
- Children draw a picture of a clean park, dustbin or broom.
- They write a short thank you message.
- Teacher discusses the role of sanitation workers.
Example message:
“Thank you for keeping our school clean.”
“Thank you for keeping our school clean.”
Learning Outcome: Children develop respect and responsibility.
